As the History Co:Lab’s Learning Ecosystems Lead, Tess Benoit uses her expertise in designing and stewarding community-based learning ecosystems and cultural exchanges to catalyze interdisciplinary collaborations that enrich educational environments and foster holistic well-being. 

Tess holds a M.A. Decorative Arts History, specializing in "Curating Diplomacy," a discipline that explores how early American art facilitates 21st-century diplomacy. She also holds graduate certifications in Culture & Values in Social Policy, Art Law, and Museum Collections Management & Care. Her academic and professional background underpins her results-oriented approach to programming and relationship-building across sectors.

Throughout her career, Tess has created and led projects that use historical lessons to address contemporary challenges, emphasizing the transformative power of art and culture in shaping future learning systems. She’s led the development of civic art education programs, published learning tools, and established a robust network of cultural sites and educational agencies. She is passionate about the intersection of education and culture, and her leadership continues to drive the future of learning by catalyzing networks and activating collaborative ecosystems.
