What is co-design?
Co-design is a participatory design approach that involves working directly with young people to create solutions, tools, and experiences that reflect their strengths, lived experiences, and developmental needs.
We use co-design to meet young people where they are, fostering creativity and designing learning solutions that are relevant to their experiences. Together, we co-create tools and programs that resonate with their realities and aspirations.
CO-DESIGN WITH THE GAME DESIGN STUDIO MODEL
iThrive Games has used the Game Design Studio (GDS) model for nearly a decade to co-create relevant and social-emotional skill-building games and learning experiences in collaboration with partners looking for new ways to support youth thriving.
Designed by teen mental health experts, GDS is a strengths-based co-design model that pairs young people with cognitive and creative tools that help them mine their genius alongside peers, subject matter experts, designers, and developers.
