Educating for Our Common Purpose
AUTHORED BY: WorldSavvy and the History Co:Lab in partnership with EuroClio and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund
HOW CAN WE EDUCATE FOR A STRONGER DEMOCRACY?
With World Savvy, we published “Educating for Our Common Purpose,” a groundbreaking report that strategically outlines K-12 learning models to effectively support meaningful democracy education for young people. This report emerged from insights shared at Educating for Global Democracy, a workshop held at the American Academy of Arts and Science that brought together some of the world’s leading innovators and educators to discuss the humanity-centered learning necessary for renewing democracy.
By sharing these insights, we invite ongoing conversations and collaborations to reimagine education as a force for democracy in our interconnected world. We believe that shaping the future of education requires us to work closely with young people, embracing collaboration and bold, creative experimentation. Together, we can align the future of schools with our shared journey as members of humanity.
