BRINGING THE YOUTH VOICE TO THE WORLD CONGRESS OF HISTORY TEACHERS

The History Co:Lab is pleased have participated in the 1st World Congress of School History Teachers (Moscow, 4-7 October 2021), which its partner EuroClio organized together with the National Committee of Russian Historians. The Congress convened more than 300 history educators from all continents discussing both thematic and methodological issues of history education. We invite you to also read or watch the key note speech by History Co:Lab founder Fernande Raine, in which she called for history education that is “juicy, inspiring and inclusive”.

As a result of the Congress, the organizers have issued a joint resolution calling for increased international cooperation on history education, in which our recommendation to include the voice of young people was placed at the top of the agenda. The resolution has been made available in both the English and Russian languages.
