WELCOME, NEW TEAM MEMBERS!

The History Co:Lab is excited to welcome three new members to our team. They collectively bring over 40 years of education and non-profit management experience, a passion for history education, and a shared goal to transform how history is learned and experienced in the United States and globally.

  • Shaterra Martin

Shaterra Martin brings a passion for teaching and for systems to her new role as our Chief of Staff. She has a wide range of responsibilities as our collaborative projects require coordination, communication and fine-tuned-systems for weaving, all of which are under her wing..

As a former classroom teacher, Shaterra has seen firsthand the power of inspired learning as a tool for transformation. She is passionate about creating an equitable and just world and believes that begins with how we educate students. Having realized the need for equitable operations to support and strengthen learning, she moved towards envisioning and building such systems for educational non-profit organizations, including Teach For America and LINK Unlimited Scholars, and consulting on equity projects with justice-oriented organizations like Love & Power Works and Williams and Associates, Inc. Shaterra holds a Bachelor of Art in Communications and Sociology from The George Washington University and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.

  • Romanus Berg

Romanus Berg brings decades of experience with fluid teams of teams to his role as our new CFO/COO, responsible for all financial and business operations.
