In collaboration with Education for Sharing and in partnership with LEGO Group and FITO Network, we spent FY2024 co-leading the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network, a community of practice created to bring learning through play to museums, hosting virtual gatherings, leading hands-on workshops, and creating an online forum to support this goal. In April 2024, we launched our Museums for Humanity virtual series, designed to inspire museum professionals with fresh approaches to amplifying the connective power of museums in fostering youth thriving and supporting democracy. 

The series blends learning science, intergenerational collaboration, and play to spark innovative ideas and pathways for impact. Our sessions have featured playful learning designers, historians, and researchers, culminating in interactive workshops where attendees co-create humanity-centered learning solutions for their museums.

As co-leads of Educating for American Democracy (EAD)’s Community Partnerships Taskforce, we co-hosted a youth co-design workshop in November 2023 that enlisted the Creation Co:Lab’s innovative Game Design Studio approach. Through it, teens translated the EAD Roadmap into a youth-centered card game, which has since helped hundreds of museums and other cultural institutions imagine ways to better provide inquiry-based civic learning for young people.
